I have never heard of selling photos as stock photography! I saw your portfolio and think you do great work. Keep doing what you're doing!

I'd been thinking for a while that I might delve into the world of Photography. While I don't think it is easy, I believe it is something I might like.

What a fabulous way to get paid to do what you love! I never knew something like this was available. There is a huge variety for the customer as well.

How professional of a photographer do you need to be to do this? I like photography, but only do so in my spare time. I wonder?

Stock photography is a GREAT way to make a few extra bucks on stacks and stacks of prints and digital images that you may have thought were "boring" or unusable. Great for experienced photographers or newbies!

Nice way to make a buck off something you like doing anyway. I loved the picture of the picnic table with the log laying next to it. It reminds me of a campground I used to go to.

It's really interesting to think of "stock photography" as a career option for a photographer. I'm sure plenty of people think stock or clip art images just magically appear from thin air!

That's very interesting. My husband and I are thinking about getting into photography, I'll have to keep this in mind. Great pics by the way.

I never knew that there was a website that I could download pictures and someone would pay to use them as stock photography. I am going to be looking more into this matter.

Your submissions to the on-line stock photo site reflect a solid range of work and your skill as a photographer. The photos are consistently well-composed, crisp and engaging. The blog entries give the visitor the back story and some technical insight as well, a nice plus!

Your portfolio is fantastic. I'm not surprised that the money is starting to come in. I think its great to go for a dream job that you have always wanted. From the looks of your picture and eye for a shot you will be successful wherever you go. Keep it up, we need more beauty in the world.

I noticed you have a knack for capturing color. The paper clips and the candy fish are just everyday objects, but you found a beautiful perspective. That is the art of a true photographer. Congratulations on finding a niche for your talent.

As a small business owner, I frequently have requests for chic refreshing photos instead of the same mundane stock photos. Good luck, you have the right idea!

It is nice to see someone who can take pleasure in the every day things. Being able to find appeal in simple things and not just the violent or overly exposed celebs is such a change of pace from every day life its refreshing.

Your photos are beautiful, especially the nature scenes. I love the outdoors, and the palm trees reminded me of my Jamaican vacation. Please add more beach scenes when you can.

There are times in which the perfect photo is not at the mall, or of the everyday flower. Posting your photos on Dreamstime is a great two for one: you are doing what you love and provide artwork that not sold by the case.

I have often thought of trying to sell my photos but haven't found the right opportunity. I will definitely take a closer look at Dreamstime. I wish you the best as you have some really great shots!

In school i took photography and once i finished i kind of lost touch with it but after looking at your wonderful pics it has made me want to get back into picture taking. I took a look at some of your pictures at the link you provided and they're pretty cool. I also noticed you have a Canon... I recently bought a Canon G9, and it takes really good pictures too.

I think this was a great idea because you are doing something that was an interest/ hobby in the first place so you are more likely to enjoy it when the business is a bit slowerer than usual! I believe the best home based businesses are the ones that come from a love of already doing something and not from just the wanting of money.

I am also starting out in this field. I have loved photography for as long as I can remember. This website that you have found is along the lines of something I've also been looking for. Thank you for sharing it on here.

I think this is a good idea to at least look into. My teenager daughter has a real knack for photography. Maybe she could earn a few bucks here and there while doing what she loves.

The author uses Amazon MECHANICAL TURK to pay people 1 cent a time to make posts here! HOW CHEAP AND UNDERHAND CAN YOU GET. You are either being fooled or doing the fooling.

Look it up in GOOGLE - it's slave labour for this with internet access.

That's really cool. Is it actually possible to make a living doing stock photos? I know a guy who works as a photographer at a portrait studio and he's always saying how hard it is to sell his own stuff. It must be a really tough business to get into.
