I write fiction and non-fiction - books and articles - at home. In addition, I do simple design/layout projects like booklets and brochures. I had this business and it produced income, but it took a lot of time and when kids came along, it was harder to get the transcription projects done. Would I do it again? Yes, absolutely because I really enjoy typing and deciphering what people are saying in the recordings.
As a small business owner, I at times felt taken advantage of, especially when new customers find out that we didn't have an office and they would try to cut our rates or not pay us. And when times are tough, those types of customers can detect or desperation.
